SKINS manifests itself as a pictorial project made up of 32 absolutely self-referential paintings, cryptic in their narrative essentiality, in which the observer is guided only by a title and the depiction of the work itself, leaving wide margins for interpretation.
In the series the painting retraces episodes experienced by the author and very personal introspections, in a cathartic and exorcising attempt, which however does not necessarily provide a positive resolution.
It can therefore be considered an extension, an appendix of Nihil Hawthorn, in which the themes similar to his alter ego of reference are treated in a more direct, more punk and consequently often angrier way.
